This project focuses on the integration of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication networks with the 5G core network, with an emphasis on designing and validating intra-constellation routing mechanisms to enhance network performance, reliability, and Quality of Service (QoS). The scope includes developing routing algorithms optimized for dynamic LEO satellite topologies, improving intra-constellation routing efficiency to achieve optimized packet forwarding and load balancing while ensuring seamless interoperability with the 5G core network. Additionally, the project will establish a simulation platform for LEO satellite networks to test and refine different routing strategies, as well as develop a validation environment for real-world testing. The project will also integrate data visualization techniques and a user interface for intuitive representation of network performance and algorithm impact, enhancing intra-constellation network management and decision-making.
